A Spectrum in Carved Air: Vocal Instrument Workshop with Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe
'A Spectrum in Carved Air', a workshop by Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, offers a unique opportunity to explore the human voice as an instrument; both un-effected and effected through electronic audio processing tools. By experimenting with the extraordinary capabilities of the voice, including its capacity to mediate bodily expression, the artist seeks to liberate participants to sculpt and shape the air and space around them in unison.
No singing experience necessary, just curiosity, courage and an open mind!
Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe is a U.S.-based multidisciplinary artist, whose practice is strongly rooted in the exploration of moments, and the hypnagogic state. Movement and gesture play key roles within this process, and in the realm of performance are mediated via his use of voice and modular synth.
