Parallel Republic: Panel discussion and screening of Syrian Mobile Phone Film Festival winners
As part of our current exhibition "Parallel Republic: The Art of Civil Disobedience", we will be hosting a screening of the winners of Syria's Mobile Phone Film Festival, and a panel discussion around the issues of traditional documentary making, citizen reporting, social networks and the contribution of these various channels to the overall reported picture of a crisis such as the one unfolding in Syria.

MATT NORMAN is a filmmaker, artist, photographer and Head of Media at Syria Relief Charity.
IBRAHIM FAHKIRI is a Syrian artist living in the UK, and is co-curator of the Parallel Republic exhibition.
