Cian Nugent / The Family Elan

CONCERT / FRIDAY 20TH MARCH, 20:00 / FREE ENTRY

Fuse Art Space are totally stoked to welcome Cian Nugent for a long overdue appearance in Bradford as part of his Spring tour. Acclaimed solo guitarist, songwriter, leader of the friendliest and most talented super group this side of the Burren - Cian Nugent and the Cosmos - and member of Cryboys and The Numbers 1s, Cian will be airing some of his newest songs, augmenting his well honed guitar stylings and always pleasurable Dublin blarney with a new found vocal lyricism (i.e. singing!). Can't wait, it should be a cracking Friday night, and support comes from old friends, Bradford's very own The Family Elan, peddling their usual mishmash of spicy rock'n'roll, Turkish folk and sub-bass warbling. It'll also be a bit of a pre-birthday bash so get yourselves along, and bring presents!

"Ted Nugent already mastered dynamics tone and articulation. He introduces each new melody or change of emotional tenor at precisely the right moment to keep you on the edge with him, and his tunes are sturdy and lovely things [...] Mighty good.”
-The Wire

“Irish guitarist Cian Nugent sounds as if he has entirely absorbed the prescient, droney traditionalism of American guitarists in the 1960s like John Fahey and Sandy Bull, but takes it forward into his own hybridized areas: chamber music, jazz, psychedelia, bluegrass, and what people who used to visit record stores might call postrock [...] Highly accomplished"
-New York Times

“Cian Nugent’s music is a deep pass through some of the most visionary music of the 20th Century threaded together with maximum grace”
-Uncut
