Ensō Sone explores ideas of duality.

Sound triggers light that in turn creates form.

An audio-visual collaboration between Japanese psych band Qujaku and UK visual artists IMPATV. In Japanese Zen practice, the Ensō symbol is a circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. The sone is a unit of loudness, how loud a sound is perceived. The title Ensō Sone therefore expresses a freedom to create loudness, which marks the starting point for this collaboration. Further ideas of oneness, natural opposites and equilibrium, the spirit of harmonious cooperation, the visible and the invisible, absolute fullness in emptiness, simplicity, completeness, and endlessness shall be explored. The resulting marriage of Qujaku’s music and IMPATV’s visuals shall unfurl into an all-encompassing display for the senses.
